 WBRO dates back to 1953 |
This is WBRO Waynesboro, GA It went dark a couple of years ago but is still standing on Highway 56 east of town. I took these pictures on 01/09/2001. Power seemed to be off , there was a phone ringing inside.

The car looks like it's been there awhile, but it has a 2001 tag sticker. Lots of car parts and radio station parts laying around. |

There were a couple of these stickers on the car and on the radio station windows. |
The front of the building without the Photoshop effects. This building was put up to house the radio station in 1953. No external modifications over the years. |

Ready for duty. The radio station seems intact. There's still a fence around the tower and somebody is keeping the place relatively clean. |
